Currently I am a full time studio director and instructor at a studio near Houston, TX. It is here, at Potters’ Place, where I took my first ceramics class nearly ten years ago. I owe a tremendous debt to those who have taught and mentored me through out the years at Potters’ Place, ACAD (Alberta College of Art and Design), Penland School of Craft and a handful of other artists throughout the years.
I create wheel-thrown pieces with a strong emphasis on surface design. The illustrations on the exteriors of these vessels are inspired and influenced by mid-century children’s book illustrations, my love of animals, folk art, and contemporary ceramics.
