Mary Jarvis is an award-winning beadmaker and studio jeweler living in Spring, Texas. She completed her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Mississippi in Graphic Design, but fter working for several years in print design, she began exploring glass bead and jewelry-making. In 2001 she began working full time out of her jewelry-making studio.
Her glass beads have won several awards and have been published in Belle Armoire Magazine, Bead Unique, and Lapidary Journal among others.
She attends Glassell School of Art in Houston,Texas in the Advanced Jewelry classes taught by Sandra Zilker, and has attended intensive workshops in enameling, and chasing and Repouse at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina.
Recently her work was selected for inclusion in the CraftTEXAS 2010 exhibition September 25, 2010 - January 9, 2011 at the Center for Contemporary Craft in Houston, Texas.
